THE END OF LOVE tells the story of struggling actor, Mark (played by writer/director Mark Webber), who is forced to grapple with his inability to grow up when the mother of his two-year-old son Isaac suddenly passes away. As he kindles a relationship with a young single mother (Shannyn Sossamon, 40 Days and 40 Nights), he begins to realize that he can no longer remain in denial about the real-life consequences his choices have on Isaac (played by Isaac Love, Webber's real-life son). The End of Love is an intimate and stunningly honest portrait of a young father in transition between the life he's been working for and the one that's waiting for him.(c) Official Site

New Trailer For The End of Love

Review For The End of Love

Creative people often mistakenly assume that the trials of their profession are compelling.
Drew Hunt-Chicago Reader

"The End of Love" is an exceptionally intimate, human-scaled picture. It's also quite a special piece of work.
Gary Goldstein-Los Angeles Times

Mr. Webber, a skilled actor, has not devised a narrative with sufficient momentum or tension to sustain much interest.
Andy Webster-New York Times

There is plenty of evidence that Webber has something significant to say, and the gifts with which to express himself. Once he's ready to commit fully to his own vision, there's no end to what he might accomplish.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

Mark Webber's "The End of Love" connects and lingers by making incredible effort seem natural.
Charlie Schmidlin-Chicago Sun-Times

There are some lovely and moving things here, but over the long haul it's more like watching an hour and a half of someone's weekend trip to Knott's Berry Farm.
Rex Reed-New York Observer

Those willing to drift along with it will find a compelling character study about a man coming to terms with himself, his son, and the people who enter their lives.
Jeremy Mathews-Paste Magazine

Single dad's struggles are poignant, somewhat mature.
S. Jhoanna Robledo-Common Sense Media

Shot with tiny digital cameras to minimize the sense of intrusion, The End Of Love sometimes feels like a home movie, but that's also the source of its strength.
Sam Adams-AV Club

Webber appears to be making an audition tape with his second directorial effort, using screen time to display a range of moods and dramatic encounters that could go on to secure future jobs for the actor.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com

Not sure if The End of Love's Mark Webber got that callback from Paul Thomas Anderson, but the Mark Webber who made The End of Love deserves to be getting a few.

New Trailer For The Place Beyond The Pines

Review For The Place Beyond The Pines

This naturalistic drama is ambitious to the point of being unwieldy... But once the story has advanced from one generation to the next and its thematic sweep has become apparent, these flaws seem much more tolerable.
J. R. Jones-Chicago Reader

"Pines" is hardy stuff, but it's at its toughest when Gosling's on screen.
Tom Long-Detroit News

The Place Beyond the Pines is hackneyed and dull: Not a single moment rings true.
Rene Rodriguez-Miami Herald

This is a story about legacy, the sins of the father, the restlessness in our souls. It's powerful, it's bold, it hits you hard.
Steven Rea-Philadelphia Inquirer

Cianfrance and his sterling cast keep it all together, vanquishing doubt and soap suds. There's a palpable sense of teamwork that brings out the best in all of these players.
Peter Howell-Toronto Star

Its three stories are so loosely connected, its themes so scattered -- morality, justice, fate, fatherhood -- that it never manages to make a point.
Rafer Guzman-Newsday

Bites off a little more than it can chew in that respect, but it's still a deeply affecting drama with a powerful impact.
Eric D. Snider-About.com

With The Place Beyond the Pines, Derek Cianfrance definitively establishes himself as an up-and-coming filmmaker with serious potential...
David Nusair-Reel Film Reviews

Stretches the scope of the film well beyond crime thriller.
Frances Morton-Flicks.co.nz

An ambitious and thought-provoking film with a beautiful score and some of the biggest narrative twists of the year.
John Hanlon-Big Hollywood

Motivation is the weak link here, with characters major and minor making choices that don't compute and/or serve mainly to advance the narrative down the next twist of track toward the tragedy looming on the horizon.
Nicolas Rapold-Film Comment Magazine

While it feels frustratingly disjointed, The Place Beyond The Pines also possesses moments of real power.
Martin Roberts-Fan The Fire

By linking [three vignettes], Cianfrance explores larger themes that enrich the otherwise patience-testing 140-minute experience.
John Serba-MLive.com

A memorable, thoughtful tale; a thriller with real meat on the bone.
Simon Miraudo-Quickflix

Would Pines have worked better as a 13-episode cable drama? Probably. Yet its atmosphere comes through beautifully on the big screen.
Margot Harrison-Seven Days

Cianfrance uses the film's gritty visuals to enhance the character's experiences, starting with a vibe reminiscent of a 90's thrash metal video clip, then moving into police footage territory before ultimately setting a wistful tone for the third act.
David 'Mad Dog' Bradley-Rip It Up

The film is unfortunately front-loaded with more art movie cliches than you can count, but once they get out the way the trans-generational story does close its grip on you.
Jim Schembri-3AW

"Place Beyond the Pines" will not lift spirits. Yet there are hints of hope attached to the film's view that change is possible -- if people can just get out of their own way.
Carla Meyer-Sacramento Bee

A huge leap forward for Cianfrance, who is rapidly distinguishing himself as a true auteur.
Al Alexander-The Patriot Ledger

Bleak, raw, epic and vibrating with energy, Pines is a film to haunt your dreams, and, so far, the best thing I've seen in a cinema in 2013.
Adam Ross-The Aristocrat

While it is still a rewarding film on face value, The Place Beyond the Pines offers additional pleasures for viewers keen to delve further.
Thomas Caldwell-Cinema Autopsy

...the best kind of film: big enough to be bracing, but small enough to draw you right in, and then exercise a firm, vice-like grip.
Erin Free-FILMINK (Australia)

It's the interesting characters and their thought-provoking choices that make this film so compelling.
Matthew Toomey-ABC Radio Brisbane

An ambitious and twisting crime drama about fathers, sons and responsibility.
Tom Glasson-Concrete Playground

Cianfrance creates a layered and moving portrait of working-class life, of people trying-- in many of the wrong ways-- to improve lives for themselves and the generations to come.
Katey Rich-CinemaBlend.com

This ambitious tale of tragedy and redemption among fathers and sons is told in three parts and, despite a superb performance from Ryan Gosling, is less than the sum of its parts.
Simon Weaving-Screenwize

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse. (c) Warner Bros

New Trailer For Pacific Rim

Review For Pacific Rim

A ridiculously entertaining (and often just plain ridiculous) monster-robot movie that plays like that "Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots" game from the 1960s.
Richard Roeper-Richard Roeper.com

Its visual achievements notwithstanding, Pacific Rim's greatest breakthrough may be that it's the first Hollywood blockbuster to sport a title less descriptive of its plot than of its intended market.
Christopher Orr-The Atlantic

It's as if Del Toro neuro-linked with a robot and then couldn't figure out how to work the controls -- and so watched impotently as the machine made the major creative decisions.
David Edelstein-New York Magazine

There are long sequences in this movie that merit that most overused of terms: "Awesome."
Rene Rodriguez-Miami Herald

Del Toro is reveling in blockbuster clichés at the same time he's pounding them into the pavement, and somehow that self-consciousness lets us all in on the joke.
Tom Long-Detroit News

After a long cycle of action movies in which the protagonists spend most of their downtime introspecting about their heroic obligations, Pacific Rim is something different: a heart-warming team-building exercise.
Liam Lacey-Globe and Mail

Entertaining enough silliness.
Boo Allen-Denton Record Chronicle (TX)

...never quite tingles your brain the way superior science fiction can.
Josh Larsen-LarsenOnFilm

While I can't quite convince myself that it is the equivalent of a four-star meal that some of its geeking fan boys want it so desperately to be, I concede that it is, at the very least, edible.
Kenneth R. Morefield-Christianity Today

A massive-scale battle royale between robots and monsters that doesn't fail to entertain.
Tom Glasson-Concrete Playground

... follows the ID4 formula to the letter; swap fighters vs. flying saucer action for mechs vs. monsters and enjoy.
Kevin A. Ranson-MovieCrypt.com

Del Toro generally manages to keep triumphalism at bay, avoids solemnity, gives each nation a fair share of the limelight and cheerfully embraces the mock seriousness that such films insist on.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

As adventures in mechanised mayhem go, the picture does, of course, crush the Transformers franchise into iron filings.
Donald Clarke-Irish Times

Is this going to give me enough of a story and enough characters to carry the amount of rocket-punching and monster-bashing that I want to see? The answer is yes.
Widgett Walls-Needcoffee.com

A pic made for those who can appreciate the sophisticated special effects over all else.
Dennis Schwartz-Ozus' World Movie Reviews

In an American summer season of less-than-stellar efforts so far, Pacific Rim is not the worst of the bunch but it is clearly the film that falls furthest from its inherent potential.
Simon Foster-Screen-Space

Undoubtedly the worst big-screen film since M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender...To put it bluntly, Pacific Rim deserves the derision usually lumped upon Transformers 2.
Jim Schembri-3AW

Perhaps we should just be grateful that a director with any kind of artistic sensibility took this on.
Ed Whitfield-The Ooh Tray

Del Toro's love letter to otaku everywhere is kept from perfection by doltish dialog and overly dark battle scenes, but Pacific Rim is an incredibly enjoyable blast of summer fun worth seeing on the largest screen possible.
Diva Velez-TheDivaReview.com

...the great demolition derby that Guillermo del Toro has been working towards.
Chris Barsanti-PopMatters

Harryhausen and Honda are gods to del Toro, but the movie he's produced in their honor has less in common with their disarming flights of fancy and more with the assembly-line blockbusters that are becoming increasingly indistinguishable from one another.
Matt Brunson-Creative Loafing

I hope Pacific Rim is a huge hit. Because we need a ton more movies like it.
Will Leitch-Deadspin

Awesome in a whole lot of different ways. Don't see it in IMAX, though.
Stephen Silver-EntertainmentTell

For those who wondered how Del Toro would handle a big budget tentpole, Pacific Rim is his response, a 30-story middle finger to Universal for pulling the plug on AtMoM.
Pete Vonder Haar-Houston Press

Yes, as a critic, I can find things to pick apart about "Pacific Rim," but ultimately I was won over by the visceral thrills and the giddy delights of Del Toro's sleek homage to the monster movies of his youth.
Sean Means-Salt Lake Tribune

...Pacific Rim is rather generic, familiar and cliche-ridden; ambitious ideas and spectacular designs wrapped up in a banal and tediously told story that's as clamorous, loud and disorienting as any Michael Bay movie...
Rodrigo Perez-The Playlist

Watch and Stream Triumph Of The Wall Movie on HD Format

As fascinating as it is meditative as it is hilarious, Triumph of the Wall begins as a filmed chronicle about the construction of a 1000-foot dry-stone wall by a novice stonemason in rural Quebec. The stonemason, Chris Overing, is to complete the stone structure within eight weeks; the filmmaker, Bill Stone plans the film as a straightforward telling of this laborious yet creative task. But after Overing realizes he has woefully underestimated the time and energy required to construct the wall, both projects evolve into something altogether different. Triumph of the Wall is a film about expectations, about two guys who embark on an eight-week journey and spend the next eight years trying to figure out how to finish what they started...a reminder that sometimes art (and life) is as much about the process of creation as it is about the finished product. Review For Triumph Of The Wall

Neither the very relaxed pace of this builder, Chris Overing, nor Mr. Stone's sporadically amusing neuroses about his filmmaking make for a gripping documentary.
Nicolas Rapold-New York Times

"Sometimes you start things, and you don't know exactly why," muses filmmaker Bill Stone, surely expressing the feelings of everyone who buys a ticket to his aimless, and seemingly endless, documentary.
Miriam Bale-New York Daily News

Not so much a crafted film as a compendium of one guy's musings.

New Trailer For Revolution

Review For Revolution

It should be essential viewing, particularly in high schools and universities, whence the next generation of policy makers will one day emerge, hopefully more enlightened than we have been.
Michael Posner-Globe and Mail

A well-meaning yet disjointed effort that often seems more like a crusader's travelogue than documentary.
Linda Barnard-Toronto Star

As a piece of timely, well-researched propaganda, it does what it had to do, and forces the viewer to make a latex mould of one's own footprint and take responsibility for our own part in creating an over-trodden planet.
Katherine Monk-Canada.com

Revolution is a such a neck-breakingly random series of connected concerns, it amounts to a Whole Sick Earth Catalogue, a primer of sorts.

New Trailer For LUV

Review For LUV

Director-co-writer Sheldon Candis stretches a lot of the time, a romantic story seems to have been cut drastically, and the film's climax is far too typical.
Tom Long-Detroit News

Even the boarded-up row houses look romantic.
Farran Smith Nehme-New York Post

A sometimes taut and occasionally preposterous day in the life of an 11-year-old accompanying his uncle on business in Baltimore.
Stephanie Merry-Washington Post

What begins as a promising peek into the tragic cycle of waylaid promise that's crippling broken inner-city families is itself dispiritingly pulled sideways in the Baltimore-set indie "LUV."
Robert Abele-Los Angeles Times

Both for good and for ill, "LUV" has a film-school feeling about it, and channels a legacy of fatalistic American crime cinema that includes "Mean Streets" and "Treasure of the Sierra Madre."
Andrew O'Hehir-Salon.com

Saved from its predictable plotline by a strong cast and a central relationship written and performed with sensitivity, LUV reveals the stakes of trusting in a role model and the costs when that person turns out to be human.
Joel Arnold-NPR

Common more than pulls off the tough task in a revelatory, award-worthy turn.
Michael Dequina-TheMovieReport.com

if interpreted as "a fable" you may be able to shrug it off.
Jordan Hoffman-ScreenCrush

Candis demonstrates a practiced hand in his direction, keeping the pace brisk and the tension taut. But there's no getting around the meandering and highly formulaic script.
Jeff Meyers-Metro Times (Detroit, MI)

Clearly inspired by the television show "The Wire," newbie writer-director Sheldon Candis stumbles through crime drama clichés in a prosaic coming-of-age movie that fails to connect on any level.
Cole Smithey-ColeSmithey.com

It's got the heart and soul, but not the brain.
Robert Levin-amNewYork

Gritty drama follows young boy exposed to violence, drugs.
S. Jhoanna Robledo-Common Sense Media

An attempt to do something new in the field of boyz-n-the-hood relationship dramas.
Kelly Vance-East Bay Express

A hackneyed, from-the-streets Sundance drama that would be mostly forgettable if not for the performance of child actor Michael Rainey Jr.
Mike Scott-Times-Picayune

Candis doesn't trust his himself to pull it off, weighing the film down with a disconnected score that pushes an otherwise edgy story into melodrama.
Annlee Ellingson-Paste Magazine

An almost likable movie about unshackling the past.
